Most totally excellent, dudes!



Yeap! There are rumors going around that Kara is going to have a new man in her life. And that the new man in her life will be someone unlikely to be the new man in her life O.o (confused?). lol!
(*GASP* Does this mean that Anders is gonna bite the dust come season 3, no thanks to his pneumonia?)

Well, if the writers are really going to push through with this story arc, then they might consider the following candidates for Starbuck's "oh-my-god-i-didn't-see-that-coming" boytoys:

Contender #1 : Leoben Conoy

Okay --- HE'S A CYLON. But anything can happen in scifi TV universe, folks. After all, he and Kara did have that little connection in "Flesh and Bone" (after she beat the frak out of him for 8 hours. Ouch. Love hurts). He also "re-appeared" and was looking for her near the end of S2. All of that's gotta mean something, right?

Contender #2 : Saul Tigh

Yeah! Kill-off Ellen and make him hook up with Starbuck instead. Kara and Tigh get on each other's nerves, but you can't deny the fact that these two have that certain chemistry thing going on between them. They love kicking each others' asses, but that's the glue that pulls them together. Then there're those friendly tender moments between them that just bring out that special sparkly thingy.

Contender #3: Gaius Baltar

Eww! NO! They had their little fling. It didn't work out. The end.

Contender #4: Tom Zarek

Now THIS is a long-shot. But I saw some fans throwing this theory around so I thought would put it up here. And well, if Kara does end up with Tom, she'll still end up with Apollo ;)! (hahaha! The fans of the classic know what I mean ;)).

If I were the writers, I'd definitely go for either Leoben/Kara or Tigh/Kara :D!

BSG-Philippines watched the pilot mini-series, season 1 and season 2 :D!
We were also able to choose the name of our Battlestar, and through thorough voting (no, Roslin wasn't a candidate :P), the majority of us voted for Battlestar Kapangyarihan.

Ellen Tigh is the ultimate BSG BITCH!!!

Seriously, if you've seen all the episodes she's been in, you would know what I mean x.x!

And before I am suspected of accusing her for no reason at all, here are the following reasons why I absolutely hate Ellen:

1. Dude, she's married to Saul Tigh and she's playin' him as if he was some stupid mindless instrument! WTF, man?! He's a great guy! And he's like SUPER HOT! Can't she see how lucky she is to be married to him?!


2. She's obviously a liar and a troublemaker. Adama was right when he said "Cylon or not, she's nothing but trouble."


3. She brings out the worst in Tigh. She promotes his being an uber drunkard. She nags him to make the WRONG decisions, and she pits him against his friends (like what she did to Tigh and Adama in "Tigh me up, Tigh me down").


4. She has her own agenda, and it ain't good.

If I were Tigh, I'd super divorce Ellen, kick her out an airlock, and hook-up with a better and morally inclined woman (like ME! Mwahahahaha!).



And so the big guy upstairs created men aka humans.
And the humans created machines.

And so scifi writes wrote stories where humans create machines that want to be humans.

So today, we shall talk about movies with robots who wanna be more than just your plain ol' toasters:

• BladeRunner - CLASSIC, baby!!! You got Harrison Ford, and a bunch of Replicators runnin' around chasing each other. What do the Replicators want? They want to be human. They want to live and love and have pets. And then there's Rutger Hauer as Roy Batty! Because Rutger rocks, I'll give him some pogi points ;). The BSG writers should have him guest-star as a Cylon or something.



• A.I. - "I wanna be a real boy!" Said David. Yet another movie with robots that are advanced enough to look and feel human. Ah, poor David...He wanted his "organic" mother to love him. Other than that, I bet most of the chicks out there would want to have a "Jude Law lover-mech" of their own ;). LOL.



• The Matrix - One kickass tale of humans vs. machines, complete with bullet time and animated fluff! Does it rock?! Of course it does, especially the first one. Once again, the plot goes like this: humans made machines that evidently rebelled and outsmarted them. The machines wanted to be treated like human beings. --- Yadda yadda yadda --- and Keanu beat the crap out of them. The end.

Okay...Am I missing something else here?
Hmmmm....And so I ponder...



Okay...So many people were pissed off when Starbuck and Boomer grew boobs in the new series. But come on, this new and repackaged BSG r0x0rs! Great storyline, solid episodes, smooth story-telling, and nice characters that keep you glued episode after episode. Each episode is almost treated as if it were a big-budget movie. And none of them are completely useless "filler episodes". Nice cinematography, pacing and all. Well, some of the CGIs, especially the human ones look as if they are video game models, but meh, I can forgive that.

Anyway, the series has had its two-season run and it's still going strong :)! Whatever it's doing, it's definitely doing it right, and fans want more ;)!

I've actually only seen the first season (and a little bit of the second). But so far so good. And from what I've heard from friends and fans, the entirety of S2 is just as good ;) (even better, perhaps?). Either way, I can't wait to see it ;)! Mmmm...More Saul Tigh goodness. Yesss!!! *drool*. Heheh...Yeah...Tigh is the hotnesz ;)!

Another thing that I like about BSG is that it takes itself SERIOUSLY. There are no cheeky jokes and lala froofroo episodes. Characters have essence and spirit. There aren't any scenes where they're just walking around doing useless frak. The writers always make sure that there's something to watch and look-out for, and that's what I loooove 8D!

You know, I'm actually quite surprised that none of the regular channels here in the Philippines, have picked up BSG yet x.x! Pfft...Maybe they just wanna leave it to the cable channels. Oh well, fine with me as long as I get to watch it ;)! Oh, and the DVD definitely helps too ;)!

Aaaanyway, Battlestar Galactica rocks! Thanks to Hec for getting me into the new series ;)! I've only seen season 1 so far...But season 2 shall be seen SOON :D!

Speaking of BSG's rockfulness, the new TV series is right up there with my other favorite space operas such as Farscape, Babylon 5, Star Trek, Stargate-SG1, and whatever other scifi TV-shows I've seen and liked recently ;)!
