I definately adore this man!! ^_^. Philip Henslowe is a joyous spirit who often gets into trouble @.@ thanks to Hugh Fennyman (Tom Wilkinson's character) x.x. Henslowe is also a very good friend of William Shakespeare. Being the one responsible for putting plays on stage, he often bugs Will about the next play. Because if no play is made, Fennyman (the theater's capitalist) will have his head x.x. Poor Henslowe indeed.
