GENDO IKARI CASTING CALL!!!

Hi, movie goers!!! ^o^. For quite a while, i've been seeing some Neon Genesis Evanglion live action movie castings in eva and anime movie sites everywhere ^_^! Well, i saw some people casting some actors as Gendo too. But you see, it takes a truly obsessed Gendo fan (like me...or you! ;) heheh). to know who should be the lucky ones chosen as potential Gendos in a live-action eva movie ;)! Anyway, here are my current picks ^_^. I'll be adding as i find more (though he reeaaally needs to have that Gendo aura in him ^_^), or you could email me your candidates as potential gendos ;). anyway, without further ado, HERE THEY ARE!!!!

First up is...
ALAN RICKMAN!!!
*mostly known as Metatron from Dogma and the sheriff from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and Snape from Harry Potter(which i haven't seen yet x.x)*

Here he is...my first choice for Gendo. Come on, guys!!! he really kiiinda looks like him a bit ^_^. I know, he's too thin, but put in a little bit of weight and a beard, and we've got a Gendo in our hands ^_^. He mostly plays stern characters, so you get the idea ;). Another thing to consider is his voice *swooooon*, deep dark, cold, suave and definately something you'd wanna hear when he announces something in NERV, or when he shouts "activate the dummy plug!". Of course nothing can still compare to american VA Tristan MacAvery ^o^

KEVIN SPACEY?!!!

I know i know...he doesn't look like Gendo, BUT he's got that gendo attitude. To be honest, i've only seen a FEW of his movies: Pay it Forward (and i can imagine osment as shinji O.O), KPax and American Beauty. And by the look of those films, wherein his characters seem quite insensitive, I could say that he could pull off a Gendo, especially if he completely wipes that grin off his face, and goes into "i'm the boss around here" attitude. Hmmm...maybe i should see more of his movies.
